Spring has sprung in Iona and it’s time for our annual Spring Clean-up Day. This year we would like to make it
NEIGHBORHOOD SPRING-CLEAN UP WEEK FROM MAY 28TH – JUNE 2ND.
We want to make this into a week long clean up party to help clean up, fix up, and get our homes and neighborhoods and our whole town looking great and ready for summer. This will be an opportunity for all of us to do our yards and garages, help get our neighborhoods or cul-de-sacs looking great and to assist anyone who needs a little help with the heavy stuff. The City will have a list of public service projects that can be adopted, like the parks and public spaces anywhere in our town, even vacant lots, alleys and empty spaces.
We will have two big dumpsters at the City Building for the whole week. One will be for household items and the other for construction.
WE ALL CAN HELP
Each of us can do it. Get together with your family, group, or neighborhood and get everyone involved. Make this a neighbor-to-neighbor effort. If you belong to a group, club, or team you can do a service project and make a huge difference in our town.

HAVE FUN DOING IT
How about creating a little friendly “competition in your neighborhoods or groups? See who can collect the most, help the most, find the strangest…How about creating fun names for teams or groups as you give service to your community? Or create a silly trophy for the winning group or neighborhood?
