Please join us in congratulating Karen Hansen, our 2025 Iona Days Grand Marshal. Karen served as the first female council member and then went on to become the first and only female mayor from 1989-1996. She was instrumental in securing what is now our Iona city building. She was president of the Iona Lions club for years and her family and other lions club members put on the breakfast for Iona days and the 4th of July. Also, the mission of the Lions club is eye sight and they would go around the community and collect old glasses and do free eye exams at school and the 4th of July and Iona days. Karen is truly a person who believes in community.
